How a rental works
1 · Ask
Pick your days and send a request. Nothing is charged yet.
2 · Meet
The owner accepts, you agree on a handoff, photos at both ends.
3 · Return
Card charged within 24 hours of pickup. Both sides review.
What we do about the risky part
Both of you are ID verified
You can rest assured knowing both owners’ and renters’ names are matched against a government ID before they can list or book.
Photos at both ends
Condition is recorded at pickup and at return, so a disagreement has evidence instead of two memories.
You’re never alone
Report anything. A deposit dispute goes to a human who reads the photos, not to a form.
A deposit is held, not spent
All bookings carry a refundable deposit hold on the renter’s card. A hold is not a charge — on a clean return it’s released, and those pickup and return photos are what settles it if it isn’t.
Reviews go both ways
After a rental the owner and the renter can review each other, and the renter can review the gear. It follows the account, so it’s worth keeping clean.
